Textbook Proposal Submissions

If you would like to submit a textbook proposal for Fountainhead Press’s consideration, please include the following information in your full proposal or brief prospectus. Thank you for considering Fountainhead Press as a future home for your book.

 

Proposal Guidelines 

Project Overview: Briefly describe the objectives of your project by situating it in the context of your discipline, existing texts, and the gap or innovation your textbook will seek to address.

Target Readership: What courses will be served by the text, and what are the core values and main learning objectives that will interest faculty and students?

Market Positioning and Competition: Discuss current popular titles in the discipline and provide a rationale for how your book will differ and compete in the marketplace. Include the theoretical underpinnings for your innovations.

Central Features of the Text: Provide a detailed, annotated Table of Contents, or describe the overarching structure and content of the text by section.

Table of Contents and Chapter Sample: Provide your working Table of Contents, introduction, and at least one sample chapter.

Timeline and Proposed Deadline for Completion of Manuscript: Describe your progress to date and a realistic timeline for completion of the text.
