DESIGN OF TIMELINE CREATORS
Timeline creators are designed to help you lay out and visualize a sequence of events.
• Unlike mind maps, they are linear in structure, placing events in time along one line
• Some timeline tools support the use of images, as well as sharing and collaboration
➤ Resources for Creating Timelines
• Teachnology Timeline Creator. Teachnology Timeline Creator is a simple timeline creator can be found links
at http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/materials/timeline/.
Using this site, a writer could begin to
name key moments in starting college, for
example (Figure IV.1.6). From these dates
and events, the site generates a timeline
like the one shown in Figure IV.1.7.
• Sutori. Sutori (https://www.sutori.com/)
offers a multimedia timeline or story
creation tool. It uses a vertical scroll and
allows the inclusion of images. Figure IV.1.8
shows the start of a HeLa cell timeline that
a science team might make with this tool.
You can also add videos, audio, and text to Figure IV.1.6. Events for a student starting college
